Things have been quieter on the Tambla blog over the two weeks as out team has been busy developing solutions to help our clients in the current operating environment. With the current trading and distancing restrictions we have seen both our own clients and a large portion of Australian business become eligible for the JobKeeper Subsidy and we recognised the need to provide a solution to help manage the accounting and eligibility requirements – and that’s just what we have done. Read on to find out more about automating the Jobkeeper Subsidy with eTivity workforce management.
In the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry, the JobKeeper Subsidy response has largely been through payroll providers providing a way to ensure the payment of the $1,500 subsidy through their solutions. We’ve watched as our key partners in the payroll have responded and assisted many of our joint clients in delivery of a reliable solution – what we have found is that our clients can benefit further with additional automation and insight in the process.
While the economy is in slow down and some industries in near shutdown, calculating the subsidy via your payroll solution will ensure the business remains compliant. What happens though, when the economy begins to move slowly towards reopening? We have seen signs from state governments that the current restrictions will start to be eased and eventually lifted. Indeed, the AFR and SMH both reporting retailers beginning to reopen stores in what we all hope is a step towards a more normal future.
As these industries begin to open their doors others will inevitably follow and this is where workforce management solutions should provide assistance to your business – to help you efficiently and effectively manage your workforce as they return and ensure payroll compliance. Over the past two weeks the team at Tambla have been hard at work developing a solution that not only helps to manage the requirements of JobKeeper, but also the transition out.
The first of these innovations is assisting with automating the Jobkeeper Subsidy with eTivity workforce management.
- For the operations teams, we have developed a solution which focuses on providing actionable data via Tambla Insights platform alongside our workforce management solutions Our JobKeeper solution provide insights into how much of the subsidy is being used when preparing a roster or timesheet. As the doors begin to open, this will allow those staff to make decisions on how best to use their staff under the subsidy.
- For the executive team, we are providing insights into how much subsidy is being used in payroll costs each week as well as areas of considerable improvement to gain the most out of the subsidy.
- For the payroll teams, we have also developed a solution to complete the calculation top-up as part of your payroll processing – removing the need for regular, manual adjustments.
I’ll be demonstrating the solution to our Tambla eTivity clients on a webinar next Wednesday 13th May at 11am and encourage you to register below or through the webinars link in the menu at the top, and I’ll see you there.
Dave
