Tambla Virtual Yoga Sessions – Wow !

Times are certainly challenging us all in new and varied ways.  On LinkedIn I recently posted some tips that I have found personally useful in my time working from a broom-cupboard of an office at home.  You can find the original LinkedIn post here.

As employers, we also need to look out for the wellbeing of our staff during these times, and while the endless videos calls allow us to see them regularly, it’s easy to miss the personal cues and emotion you experience when together.  It can also be difficult, as individuals, to pull ourselves away from the desk or lose track of time and spend too long in a sedentary position.

Here at Tambla we started a new initiative this week with a goal of getting our employees to come together in a non-work situation and hopefully improve their experience a little while working remotely.

Twice a week we are providing the entire company the opportunity to join in a virtual Yoga session – conducted in real-time over video conference.  We think it’s important to invest in the health and wellbeing of our staff and – with over 30 of the team (some with very sketchy outfits) on the initial sessions – it looks like they appreciated it too.

After only 30 minutes I came away feeling much refreshed and more prepared for the day ahead – and I am keen to see what our next session brings.  What really struck me is just how much how small things like this can make a huge difference right now – and provide some much needed exercise, personal time and of course – a little entertainment.

For more information on how to set up your own corporate Yoga Classes visit Bad Yogi (Home) Retreats by clicking here or the link below.  Our instructor and guide is Andrew – one of Sydney’s most popular, experienced and sought-after yoga teachers.  If you are interested I am positive that he would be happy to help tailor a solution for you.

For some great tips on dealing with the personal aspects of self-isolation there is a another good read from Sarah Frecht  that you can find by clicking here.

Stay safe and well and remember to keep both your mind and your body active.
